Thought I'd share a few snapshots from the week that sure made me smile!
The photos are from Tuesday, while visiting Lydia on their farm with a dear friend.
It is just so delightful watching Lydia enjoy her sheep soooo much,
and her sheep love her soooooo much!
It is just soooo sweet!!! : -)
I also relished the reminder of the parallels in Scripture
of Christ as the Good Shepherd and us as His sheep!

she will do just about anything to protect her sheep . . .
like both she (and Richie!) getting out of bed at 1am,
after hearing the close-sounding howling of coyotes,
and then romping around the pasture,
calling and herding them to safety!)

Wow, you took a lot of pictures! I sure love my little sheepies. I especially love how many references there are in the Bible to the similarity of us and sheep. Every day I can see examples of my own behavior through my crazy sheep. For instance, lately Brownie and Lilly have been so discontented with the fenced pasture I provide for them, and as soon as they knock down the fence, there everyone goes. I see that as a reminder to beware of popular trends and behaviors not only in the "world" but also in the church--God's chosen flock. God has given us a green pasture to graze on, so we don't need to jump any fences that we're not supposed to! Elsie is good at staying in the fence even when everyone else leaves, but that's mostly because she's slow and lazy. God probably doesn't want us to be slow and lazy LOL :-)

Lydia, your analogy of the sheep was a good one. I guess there is a fine line between being "slow and lazy" and being fast and obstinate. I never knew a sheep herdess could be that pretty. Love, Meemom
