HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!

For Father's Day, our world's greatest father
wanted to take a trip to the beach!
So, here are a few snapshots from our
two-day pre-father's day celebration!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
We stayed at a KOA campground
in Warrenton, OR.
They have lots to do right there at the campground.
Here, Daddy and Kyle are jumping on the bounce pillow!

Joseph figured it was going to be a great place from
the moment we pulled up at the office to register.
You can see why from this photo!

Across the street from the KOA is Fort Stevens State Park
which has miles of bike trails

and you can bike right to the beach!
We went biking a couple times!

Playing at the beach is always fun!

Having fun on the remnants of the Peter Iredale!

Then, we biked over to a nearby lake!

The family enjoyed making "Cannons" and bombing the little blue boat!

Frisbee football!
Back at the campground, more bouncing!

Even Mommy got in on the fun!

Making friends at the playground!

Smores!
YUM!

The girls are checking to see if the equipment is still working at Fort Stevens!

The picture below was taken in a pitch dark bunker!

Back at the KOA, some friendly ping pong matches.

Swimming!
Then, on to Seaside for the train and little carts!

A Tolerence Test

Today, Caroline had a tolerence test of sorts. It was supposed to see how well her body tolerates lactose. But, we think it was actually a patience tolerence test, as data had to be collected over a THREE hour span of time!

~~~~~~~~~~
First, she had to drink a medicine bottle full of some sort of syrupy stuff. She said it wasn't good, but it wasn't too bad either. Then, every fifteen minutes, she had to blow air into a bag, like this . . . .
Then, wait 15 minutes. . . .
Blow into the bag, then try balancing a book on your head . . .
Blow into the bag, and check email . . .
Play with the fish . . .
Blow into the bag . . .
Row a boat . . . .
ZZZZZZZZZZ . . . . .
Lydia's 15th Birthday!
Lydia had a wonderful birthday celebration this weekend!
Actually, with all the cards and gifts in the mail from her dear family,
she's been celebrating for about a week!
Thanks so much to all of you for making her birthday so special!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday started with her choice of "Dutch Babies" for breakfast!

Then, after breakfast was the great gift opening!

Hair pretties from Timothy and Joseph!

Earrings from Caroline!

A really cool book from Kyle!

A music CD from Valerie!

A new shirt from Victoria!

A couple more shirts from Mommy and Daddy!

Then, on to our 28 mile bike ride!

It was a delightful day, with beautiful scenery and lovely company!

We had a picnic at about the half-way point.

The lovely birthday girl with her wild flower bouquet.

M & M's worked well to keep the little ones happy!

Back at home, we had Lydia's choice of chicken fried pork chops and mashed potatoes for dinner!
Oh, and cheescake for dessert!

On Sunday, her REAL birthday,
we enjoyed going to church and having our home fellowship group at our house.
