Lydia's 15th Birthday!

Lydia had a wonderful birthday celebration this weekend!
Actually, with all the cards and gifts in the mail from her dear family,
she's been celebrating for about a week!
Thanks so much to all of you for making her birthday so special!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday started with her choice of "Dutch Babies" for breakfast!
Then, after breakfast was the great gift opening!
Hair pretties from Timothy and Joseph!
Earrings from Caroline!
A really cool book from Kyle!
A music CD from Valerie!
A new shirt from Victoria!
A couple more shirts from Mommy and Daddy!
Then, on to our 28 mile bike ride!
It was a delightful day, with beautiful scenery and lovely company!
We had a picnic at about the half-way point.
The lovely birthday girl with her wild flower bouquet.
M & M's worked well to keep the little ones happy!
Back at home, we had Lydia's choice of chicken fried pork chops and mashed potatoes for dinner!
Oh, and cheescake for dessert!
On Sunday, her REAL birthday,
we enjoyed going to church and having our home fellowship group at our house.
Lydia you are a very pretty young lady.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Dutch babies. I can remember the first time we made them. Your Mom was a very young girl then.
We were amazed how they raised out of the pan.
I thought the recipe was lost but your Mom found it.
Thank goodness for that.
I love Dutch babies too. Well almost as monkey bread.
Maybe we will all get to enjoy Dutch Babies when I com to visit.
Lydia it warms my heart to see how much your family loves you. Love the picture with Mt Rainier in the background.
Love
Grandpa
