30th Anniversary Get-a-Way!!!
We were so blessed to have a three day, two-night 30th anniversary get-a-way to the coast this past weekend! We stopped in Astoria for a look-see at the Columbia River. It was a beautiful afternoon!
It was a little cloudy then at the beach on Friday night.
We saw this pooch on one of our walks on the promenade. So cute!
We walked a lot up and down the beach as far as we could walk at each end!
This was our hotel . . .right on the beach!
The weather was gorgeous!
This was taken early on Sunday morning at the opposite end of the beach from the first picture of us!
And one of the most special parts of our trip was visiting Taylor, Victoria and Luke on Sunday afternoon and evening! It was sooo nice to enjoy our adorable grandson without having to share him with all his aunts and uncles! :-)
John is Here!
John and his good friend, Adam, arrived from Michigan late last Tuesday night! They left Michigan on Sunday night around 8pm, drove through the night, stayed one night in a hotel on Monday night, and then arrived at John and Valerie's apartment about 10pm Tuesday night!
We got to see them on Wednesday around 2pm and enjoyed a nice long visit that evening!
We are so happy to have John here and that we don't have to say good-bye anymore!
It is so fun for John and Valerie to do normal life together!

Fire Right Near Our Property!
Thanking God and our courageous fire fighters (including our awesome son-in-law!) that worked so hard and saved every home and structure that this fire threatened. The fire started just a road's width from our property. Had the winds blown differently that afternoon, it would have raced up our hill toward our house.

This is the corner where the fire started. Across the road at that corner is our property and you can barely see our house through the trees.

Week Re-Cap ~ Engagement, Wedding, Grand-babies, Baseball, and 40 Days for Life! :-)
We had a wonderful full week with Miss LeAnna Lindstrom after the special engagement proposal in Leavenworth!
(LeAnna is holding sweet Marilyn on Grandma-sitting-day! ;-)
Timmy had his first chance to pitch this past week!
Valerie was able to get her wedding invitations addressed and sent out!
Yesterday, we all attended Gracie and Ronald's wedding.
(Gracie is Taylor's sister.)
