Blueberry Festival!

This weekend was our small town's annual blueberry festival.  We always enjoy the festivities, including a parade, vendor booths, and a blueberry pie-eating contest!

We enjoyed visiting Lydia at her new
"Harmony Heritage Farm" booth!
It all sure looked good!

  Then, the parade!
We enjoyed the parade even more this year with sharing the fun with friends and family.  We were very blessed that Aunt Kelley;
our sweet friend, Carolyn; our neighbors, the Moores; and the Smiths and Stroups (dear church family/friends);
were all able to come out and join in the fun!

Of course, collecting candy is definitely one of the most exciting parts of the day!
A few days before this big event,
Ted received an email from our friend, Brian, challenging him in the pie-eating competition.
Well, with such a challenge set before him, and Ted's love of blueberries, how could he turn it down?  : -)
 There was actually LOTS of competition!
Both sides of two rectangular tables were filled with contestants!

 They gave it their all,
and fought hard!
As you can see,
Brian beat Ted by a few blueberries,
and they both were beat by a teenage girl! : -)
 And then, there was the little blueberry-pie-eating contestant in training . . .

 Like father, like son! : -)
