This Week's Little Trials . . .

We are so thankful for God's provisions and blessings, and that when little (and big) trials come into our lives, that we can trust and rest in the fact that God is sovereign over all things!

Victoria started feeling not-so-well a week ago. (Last Friday) Her first few symptoms were severe headache and coughing.  Saturday morning she woke up and felt unsettled in her stomach, and wasn't sure she would feel up to going to the family picnic that day.  She made it there and through the day, but still wasn't feeling very well.  From there, things progressed to chronic fatigue, dizziness, drenching sweats, throwing up everything (even water) and severe coughing.  She has been in bed, and sleeping, most of every day this week.  Even the smallest tasks were exhausting.  It was so hard and sad (and I admit, a little scary!) to see her normally spunky, healthy self so beat.  It was also a little troubling, that she was, and still is, the only one in our family that is sick. And for so long!! We've been wondering at times, with the headache and dizziness, if it could have been related to the trauma she experienced two weeks ago with the horse accident?  So, we finally took her to the doctor here in Mossyrock, and he thinks she could have "walking pneumonia."   We'd be so grateful for your prayers for her!

Valerie has been hobbling around with a deep cut and subsequent stitches needed on top of one of her toes.  She sliced it good somehow on the pontoon boat last Sunday night. It has put quite a hiccup in her normal routine!

And I woke up yesterday with a terribly painful and stiff neck!  It really affected my entire well-being yesterday, and I needed quite a bit of Ibuprofen!  It is getting better slowly today though, so I'm praising the Lord!

Isn't it amazing how even when one little part of our body is hurt, it truly affects our whole well-being, and other people all around us in our life.  Just like the Body of Christ!!!

" . . . so that there should be no division in the body,
but that its members should have mutual concern for one another.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it;
if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each of you is a member of it.…"
1 Corinthians 12:25-27
