Pig Tails and Piggy Paint

Looking quite adorable in her new pink Piggy Paint . . .
(Thank you, Lydia!)

 and her two very cute pig tails . . .
Brielle and Mommy went to Seattle today for her long-awaited specialist appointment.
We were so glad to hear from this very nice doctor about what to expect
concerning her diagnosis and upcoming treatment plan.
He confirmed that she will not be able to use the necessary medicines for a few years,
And he relieved some of my worries when he said that it is not likely that she will show much in the way of symptoms during this time.
These were the two main things we learned,
although he did tell us a bit about the medicines;
how they are administered and for how long;
their side-effects;
and percentages of effectiveness/cure rates.
It's hard to think about right now  . . .
so while we wait some more,
 we can pray that our Great Physician might see fit to heal her little body before her next blood test!

"The Lord is near.  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.  The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
Philippians 4:5b -9

Happy Birthday, Joseph!

"Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation will commend your works to another;
they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They will tell of the power of your awesome works,
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
They will celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness."
Psalm 145:3-7

Our Joe-Joe . . .
brightens all our days with his smile, giggles and his happy, easy-going countenance.
Can't imagine life without him!
We are so blessed by this little guy!
He is our daily testimony of God's awesome goodness and faithfulness.

"I will praise you, O Lord,
with all my heart,
I will tell of your wonders."
Psalm 9:1

"Dutch Baby" with strawberries for breakfast!

"Dutch Baby"

We continue to praise our amazing God, for how He miraculously brought Joseph into this world,
despite all the human odds that were against us.
(We were told by an OB while having a C-section to deliver Timothy, that we should probably not have any more children.
By faith, we resolved to trust the Creator and Sustainer of Life with His best for us.
He created Joseph!
Then, we were told we should abort him, as the pregnancy was too risky.
Absolutely NOT!
We prayed.
We looked at living close to the hospital in case of an emergency.
Then, just shy of 32 weeks gestation,
God said it was time for Joseph to enter this world,
through an entirely different set of circumstances,
unrelated to anything having to do with the pregnancy.
Mommy had a splenetic artery aneurism.
What are the chances of THAT happening? ;-)
Humanly speaking, statistics were not in our favor.
We both should not be here today . . .
except that our Creator and Sustainer of Life has good and perfect plans for both of us!
And He miraculously and beautifully orchestrated so many things that day,
to save and protect us . . . and display His mighty power and faithfulness for all to see!! )

"But as for me,
it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds."
Psalm 73:28

Egg and cheese sandwich for lunch!

Presents from his siblings!
(Legos to play with the rest of the day!)

We are soooooo excited to see the rest of the good things God has in store for you, Joseph!
We pray you will grow up to be a very courageous man of God,
and be used mightily for His good purposes and glory!

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well."
Psalm 139:14

"All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be."
Psalm 139:16

Quadruple the Fun ~ Part 3 ~ Kyle!

Happy Birthday, Kyle!
We thank God for the blessing of you!!!

You are truly a delight to our souls!
(Psalm 29:17)

(Fun Dress-up Outfits Thanks to Meemom! : -)
Of all the things Kyle is and does,
being a big brother
has always been one of his most favorite things in life!
(And he is an awesome brother!)
 He was especially thrilled and thankful when he was
blessed with brothers!

Of course, he's pretty crazy about his sisters, too!

And his siblings love him very much!

Why, his sisters even play baseball with him
when he wants to play!

See, here's proof . . . even Lydia is playing!
(That is, when we were able to pull her away
from her socializing! ;-)

Victoria is up-to-bat . . .
 but what is going on behind the scenes near second base?
 Looks like Daddy and Mr. J. are conspiring to catch Mr. T. in his attempt to steal third!

 However, as you can see in the next picture,
Mr. T. made it safely home,
and Victoria is now approaching second!

 Wow, even sacrificing her well-being, as she slides into second! ;-)

 And thanks to Issariah for saving the photographer
from this incoming ball!
We had such an awesome time at Kyle's birthday BBQ and baseball bash!
THANK YOU sooooo much to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!!
For lots more pictures and a play-by-play commentary on the entire game . . .
(well, not quite!:-)
please go to Kyle's blog here,  Extraordinary Existence .
And last but not least,
his birthday meal choices . . .
Jambalaya and brown rolls for dinner!

Chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast!

Apple pie for dessert!
(His sisters spoil him pretty good, too! ;-)
