Day Fourteen

This is our view from our camper this morning at the Philidelphia Walmart. : -)
We're parked on a side road overlooking the Delaware River.
The kids have been enjoying feeding the ducks and geese here.
We'll be leaving soon for Lancaster, PA to see some of the Amish country!
I'm really looking forward to the slower pace and countryside!
Then, we'll head on in to Washington, D.C.,
and hopefully take a spot in a campground there for a few days!
Camping in Walmart parking lots has been very beneficial!  We are so grateful for this!  However, it's not always condusive to good rest.  At this Walmart and the last one, we have heard a leaf blower cleaning the parking lot right outside our rig from about 2-4am! : -)  We've also had a group of guys running a large, very loud remote controlled car at 3am in front of our camper for two nights!  Then, there's always a train or other large city noises nearby. (or geese honking for their breakfast  : -)  So, we're all looking forward to being at a REAL campground for a few days!  Oh, and we can do laundry!  Woo hoo! : -)

I was wondering if you knew about free camping at Walmart. I think I do remember you parking at one several days ago. Sounds like the "free" translates into other costs (i.e. Noise). :( A real bummer when you have small children.

Oh, I'm so sorry you guys haven't been getting much rest! Sounds like you've hit some pretty noisy Walmarts. You're brave to stay there...Richie would definitely be too scared what with all the early haloweeners, gang bangers, way too-big for their britches, and otherwise crazy weirdo people :-)
But I digress...

All of the NYC pictures were great! I love seeing everyone's happy smiling faces. That would have been a little scary to have so many kids to keep track of there. What an experience!

Amish country is going to be really neat I'm sure. I've always wanted to see it! Have fun! Love you so much,
Lydia
