First Morning at Papa and Grandma B.'s House!

Lukey is definitely not lacking for attention or brmmm, brmmms or pictures being taken of him!

Yikes!  We're searching for a boy sippee cup!
Until then, the pink and purple one had to suffice!

He's Here! 3rd Grandbaby to Us and 2nd Son for Taylor and Victoria!!!

Had to wait to frost these heart-shaped sugar cookies till after he arrived safe and sound!!!
Didn't know if we were going to frost them pink or blue!!!!

Welcome Caleb Liam Smith!!!!
Victoria did a fantastic job with a home birth, and delivering a 9lb baby boy!
Grandma Smith holding Caleb for the first time!
He has two Auntie Lydia's!
So good to laugh after the long delivery!  The room was filled with much joy and rejoicing!

Thanks to Joe and Tim for taking a few pictures of Grandma and Caleb!

Uncles Joe and Tim got to come along for the first visit!

This little plate has heart shaped cheescakes sent with love from Auntie Lydia in Mossyrock all the way to bless Taylor and Victoria in Oregon.

The Little General Speaks Again!

Caroline was invited to speak at a local event last night called "The Beast Feast," which feeds 600ish men all kinds of meat from cougar to bear to moose.  It is a rally of sorts, to encourage men to lead well, be faithful husbands and good fathers, etc.  It is also an outreach to men that have not heard or received the Gospel, and also to help raise funds for a non-profit organization that is doing good things in the community.   Last night, the funds benefited Possibilities, the women's center/crisis pregnancy center where Caroline works as the development director.  So that is why she was invited to speak there, to share some of of the great things Possibilities does to help women.  But she also had a chance to share why being pro-life is not just a women's issue!
(Photos by Caroline!)
She said she felt a little awkward being one of only a handful of women that were there.
But she said her talk went well!
So proud of her for becoming such a passionate and articulate speaker on pro-life matters!
This is, of course, comes only by God's working in her life, as just 3 years ago she was terrified to even make an announcement at our little country church.
So all this to say, God equips and provides us with what we need to do the good deeds/work He has called us to do when we say "Yes, Lord, I will do it! Send me!"

Welcome February!

January came and went already!  And we're still waiting on Baby Smith's arrival!
Now he/she will be a February baby! :-)
We just had to welcome February with making and decorating some heart-shaped sugar cookies! :-)
(Pretty adorable little helper, huh?)

Snow Day ~ Part 2!

Daddy made a big pile of snow up at the top of our hill!
What are the kids to do but make it into a big igloo?!
It was big enough to fit these four . .. two big guys and two wee ones.
Maybe even more could have fit in there?
Joe got out the snowboard and tried a few passes down the neighbors hill :-)
Meanwhile, Tim and Charlotte sledded down the same hill.
Then, the most epic of all . . . night-time sledding!
And a big outdoor fire at Meemom and PapaBob's fire pit!

So the sledding pictures aren't that great. . . because they were taken in the dark :-)
And the photographer was not dressed for below freezing temperatures with no gloves on,
and standing in the deep snow for a long time in her airy sneakers with no socks! -)
