From One of the Warmest and Driest Winters to the Most Snow Ever!

I definitely think that Michigan and Minnesota are rubbing off on us! :-)
Ted thinks that this is the most snow we've received in the 15 years we have lived here!
We woke up to many more inches of snow on top of the many that we had already received in the past several days!  And our power went out for 18 hours from trees falling down and limbs breaking from the heavy snow all over the place!

John rescheduled his Monday night flight out of Seattle to Tuesday afternoon out of Portland!
They had to use Valerie's 4WD to get out of our driveway and at the end of the driveway, even had to dig their way out!
Brielle took the photo below! :-)

A Little Taste of Michigan and Minnesota Come to Us in More than One Way!

About 2am yesterday, (Friday morning), our first taste of Michigan arrived . . .
Ben made this picture for John and taped it to the front door with a note on the envelope that said,
"For John and Valerie: Go ahead and open this when you come in.  I will be sleeping!" :-)
One of the first things these three did on Friday morning!
With a little help from Brielle! :-)
In the early afternoon, four of us went to have a "linner" at Burger Claim!

This morning, (Saturday), we woke to a little taste of what John experiences in Michigan regularly . . .

These two fixed an amazing Saturday morning breakfast!
Meanwhile, Ted worked on clearing our road!
 Thanks to PapaBob's tractor!!!!

All is well in the world. . .all snuggly warm watching Pooh Bear!
Enjoying the fruits of their labor with breakfast!
Then, they set out on a journey to run some errands!

Then, later this evening, Daddy and I are heading out to pick up these guys from their 9 days visiting sweet LeAnna in snowy Minnesota!

What a Difference a Week Makes!

Well, within the week, the weather changed drastically!
We actually got our first snow last weekend . . .about 2 inches or so of accumulation!

I drove Brielle to Seattle on Tuesday for her monthly check-up and there was still snow even there!
