Benjamin's Third Birthday ~ Part 2!

Benjamin loved driving the boat with Daddy!

And riding in the inner tube!

A few other pictures of the party-boaters. . .
 Grammie and Papa

 The original five! : -)
 Oh, no!  Timmy's driving!

Joe jumping from the inner tube!

So glad we were able to pick-up Richie after he got off of work.
He hopped on like this . . .
 Love this sight . . .
There's a few more pictures of some lake fun that
Kyle will be posting on his blog!  Coming soon!

We enjoyed getting off of the boat at dinnertime to fix ourselves a brat/hot dog dinner!
Then, a little water fun and fishing after dinner . . .
Joe is really in to fishing right now!
He loves it!
Gotta love the spider man fishing pole!

Then, back to the house for cake and ice-cream
and a fun present from Papa and Grammie!

He got the hang of blowing out the candles immediately!
He really enjoyed it!
You can see the happy satisfaction in his face!
Grammie and Papa gave him this awesome
John Deere lawn mower! : -)
He loves it!
Go Benjamin!
And he is continuing to enjoy every day the new bike that
Papa Bob and Meemom gave him!

Benjamin's Big 3rd Birthday!

Can't believe Benjamin is 3 years old now!

His day got off to a great start with festive party décor,
and his choice of Fruit Loops for breakfast! : -)
(This is a rare treat around here!)

Then, we ALL had the blessing of Lydia coming over for the morning!

She let Benjamin go ahead and open up her and Richie's gift bag . . .
full of LOTS of awesome things!
 I know it sounds funny,
but Benjamin LOVES wearing "baseball" clothes.
That is ALL he wants to wear.
Anything that either has a baseball on it,
or that he think looks like "baseball" clothes will do.
So he was THRILLED with the baseball pajamas and baseball shirt that they got for him.
(He doesn't know that the red set is pajamas,
so he has been wearing them ever since he got them . . . all day, all night, and again today! : -)
They also got him this blue bat and ball,
which are PERFECT for him!

He also got  a couple little nerf guns and some chocolate wafer cookies!
His biggest sister and brother sure love him A LOT!

Joseph found a couple "left over" cars from the ones we had purchased for the birthday cake décor,
so he ran upstairs and wrapped them for Benjamin.
He picked some awesome Christmas wrap,
and wrapped them all by himself!

Then, Grammie and Papa came over,
and we hopped on Papa Bob and Meemom's pontoon boat,
and had lots of fun on the lake!

Joe's Surprise, Birthday Boy, and VIP's Arrival!

As Kyle wrote about on his blog,
today was our family's bi-annual day of dental reckoning!
How did everyone do?
Well, we all did great,
however,
Joe got a surprise teeth-pulling experience!
A year or so ago, Joe had one of his front two teeth knocked a bit loose.
It has never really been the same,
with some discoloration and always remaining a bit loose.
Well, today, it was discovered that there was an infection brewing up in the gum tissue,
so he had to have it removed. : -(
Good thing he's a tough guy!

(The birthday boy decided he wanted a picture too,
so he's showing you his teeth! : -)
We'll be celebrating this big guy's third birthday tomorrow!!!
In the meantime,
we're looking forward to welcoming Grammie and Papa from Arizona any moment!!!

Weekend Happenings!

Victoria and Caroline showed their Boer goats over the weekend,
out at the local Big Top Boer Goat Show, in Chehalis, WA.
It was a very special time and show for them,
as a new doe they were blessed with by another amazing Boer goat breeder,
won 1st out of a class of 17 two times (Saturday show and Sunday show with two different judges);
Grand Champion (1st place) Junior doe on Saturday;
Reserve (2nd place) OVERALL on Saturday;
and Reserve (2nd place) Junior doe on Sunday.
This was quite a monumental moment for them and for us,
knowing how hard they have worked to get to this point!
(I think Daddy's allergies were particularly acting up when their doe won Reserve OVERALL. ;-)
Pictures of "Dandi" are the 2 at the bottom.

The sweet lady on the right is Leslie,
the wonderful breeder who worked out a deal with the girls to have Dandi.
Victoria and Caroline have worked a lot for Leslie
fitting and showing her goats for her at other shows,
and in return, she offered this top quality doe to them for a very low price.
It was a win-win situation, and they were all very thrilled!

On Sunday, our church had their annual church picnic,
in the barn on the McGraw's beautiful farm.
It is always a very special time with our brothers and sisters.
Here, my favorite son-in-law is giving a testimony of the many prayers that were answered on his behalf when he went through his cancer treatment.
He did such a great job!
We all love this guy soooo much!

And one of our favorite parts of the day . . .
baptisms in the horse trough!
