A Walk Down Memory Lane!

I am currently in Phoenix, AZ, visiting my dad in the hospital.  

In December, it was discovered that he had a serious blood infection.  

While here, I decided to take a drive down memory lane. . . . 

This is our first house as a married couple.  It was a re-po that needed some fixing up.

It is on a corner lot, and has a really nice, big back yard!  It is a 2 bedroom, one bath house! 

This picture shows the side that we graveled to make into a nice dog run in the back yard.  I remember shoveling much of that gravel!!!! 

This is the fence that lines the back yard.  We put up that patio cover with the help of dads and friends! 

These next pictures are of the house that we moved into after leaving our first house due to the quadruplets on their way! This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath! 

And then, this last house is of the home I grew up in.  I also shared the house with a house-mate during my college years.  So I lived in this house for about 21ish years.  It looks very different, of course!  I gradutated from college in 1988, and then it was sold shortly after that.  (I think that is about 35 years ago?)

We were blessed to have River and Naomi and Claire stay overnight recently.

Ted's Birthday Celebration #2!

We were very blessed to have Caroline and Joseph drive up for and afternoon-evening visit on Monday, the 9th.   They arrived around 3pm and stayed until 9pm!  So we had a nice time of playing games, visiting and eating a nice dinner and dessert! 

Valerie blessed us with a homemade apple pie & a big plate of chocolate chip cookies! She's the best! 

 

Ted's 56th Birthday!

Marilyn came in with her "Bob" books.

She wanted to show us how she can read them! 

Taylor and Victoria brought Ted a bunch of freshly butchered beef for a beef rib dinner and then beef street tacos the next day!  Victoria also brought this special guest . . . ;-) 

Here are some of the beef ribs that Taylor brought to share with us all! 

Tim and Joe bought their dad this big tool kit that all the guys were drooling over . . . ;-)
