Naomi's First Visit to Grandma's House!

Grandma (and Papa too! LOL!) had this adorable little guy for the week 

while Naomi was entering the world and settling in at home! 

Picked up Big Brother on Sunday night, 3-21 (the day after our return from our anniversary trip!) and were blessed to have him the whole week until this Sunday, 3-28. 

We were thrilled that Taylor and Victoria and Luke and Caleb were able to come for a visit on Sunday and stay overnight!  And we also were so blessed that Richie and Lydia and Marilyn could also join us for dinner and meeting Naomi for the first time!  What a wonderful time we had together!  (This picture below was snapped as we sat down to dinner . . . just before the "main attraction" arrived!)

First Meeting of Sweet Naomi!

We were able to go to Naomi's house 😍 for our very first meeting . . . 

just shy of 48 hours after she was born! 

We took over a warm meal, and enjoyed sharing dinner with the Carter family! 

Naomi got passed around quite a bit, and we all adore her!  She is so perfect and so pretty! 

Loved making these pink "It's a GIRL" treats to help celebrate!

A Grandma's Dream-Come-True Today....

 So I stopped very briefly by to visit Marilyn and give her a little bag of Minnie Mouse jelly beans that we picked up for her in California.  They had friends visiting at the time, and they were outside with the farm critters.  Marilyn saw me coming from a long distance away and took off running toward me as fast as she could run saying, "Grandma, Grandma, Grandma, Grandma!!!!!!"  It was a moment I have longed for and dreamt about since she was born.  I knelt down with arms wide open, and she ran right into my arms and completely melted my heart!  Now I will savor that moment for a looooooong time! :-) 

Last Day in San Diego and Fun Family Visits!

Day 3 ~ More Fun in the Sun!

The day started with an amazing breakfast burrito from a nearby restaurant.  We ate our breakfast right outside our hotel room.  

After breakfast, we decided to rent some bicycles on Coronado Island and we toured lots of the island this way for about 3 1/2 hours. 

On our bike ride, we saw some paratroopers in the sky and then watched them land on the USS Midway. 

We ran into these flamingos on our journey! 

Hotel Del Coronado was undergoing some major construction  . . .this picture is for Lukey! :-) 

We saw this really cool sand castle in front of Hotel Del Coronado.  

On our way back to our hotel, we visited Seaport Village for another hour or so, and then had a hamburger on the beach! It got a little bit chilly, so we headed back to our hotel patio! 

 And watched the sunset over the beach one last time . . .
