Baby birds in their nest!
Baby bunnies in their burrow!
Black bear roaming on our hill!
(Not the actual bear that we spotted! Unfortunately, we did not have our camera with us at that moment!) |
Benny Bear . . . with cowboy hat, holster and gun, lasso, and "sword" by his side . . .
catching a little mid-day siesta on the kitchen floor! ;-)

Wow! That's amazing that you were able to capture these pictures. Especially the one of the bear was really impressive. Have you seen bears before on your property?
Hi Elanee!
We've seen a few bears in the area, but I don't think we've ever seen one this close to our house! (I need to add on the blog that we didn't take the photo of the bear! Unfortunately, we didn't have our camera with us at the time!)
Thanks for the note!
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
That's so neat!!!
Judah recently found a hole in the ground and upon putting his hand in it, he found there were baby bunnies in it!!! (We later told him that putting his hands in holes wasn't a very good idea.... ;))
Hi Eden!
Wow, that was brave of Judah! Glad it was just a bunny burrow! ;-)
We are amazed that this little bunny burrow has survived being so close to our house. (I guess it seemed like a good location to the mom bunny. . .right by our garden. ;-) When the mom made the burrow, it was in tall grass. Not knowing it was there, we ran the lawn mower of it. Still not knowing it was there, the girls have been riding their horses right through the area where it is! In fact, that is how their above ground burrow was spotted . . .atop a horse, while riding right by it/over it! How they made it through all that . . .it's a miracle! Now, we'll just need to keep our eye on them as they grow up and start wanting to help us eat our garden! ;-)
Thanks for the note!
Looking forward to seeing ya'll soon!
Benjamin must take after his mom as he seems to be able to crash and sleep wherever he falls. Reminds me of her earlier years. I guess I would just as soon not know there are black bears roaming on our hill.
Hope they aren't real hungry!!!
Love you all, Meemom
Ah, no worries, Meemom! I'm sure the bear was just passing through, and he/she is more afraid of us than we are of him/her, anyway! They sure are cute!!!
Can't wait to see you soon up here!
