We are getting excited to be coming to the end of our long paper chase! On Monday, we spent some time in the morning getting a few more documents prepared to be notarized. And then a few of them had to be taken to the Washington Secretary of State office to be certified. This is all a very interersting process! ;-)
Today, I've spent some time ordering certified copies of our birth certificates and marriage license. It became quite an involved process with their security measures, but at least we had a good chuckle as we read . . .
Please allow an additional 2 -3 weeks processing time at the Office of the Great Seal, in addition to the regular processing time. : -)
So, now we are hoping to receive a draft of our home study any day, and once it is finalized by our adoption agency, we can send it off with a our I-600A application for approval to adopt from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. It can take a couple months to receive their approval letter (and another set of finger prints) before we can put it all together in our Dossier. But, thankfully, all of our gathering and notarizing should be coming to an end soon! Woo hoo!
We'd be so grateful for your continued prayers for smooth sailing and protection from anything that could delay or harm our process to getting to the child(ren) the Lord has planned for our family!

Sounds like alot of work, but sounds like you are making progress. Hopefully the office of the "great seal" won't hold it up too long. Love, Meemom
Does that mean the Grand Poopah has to personally endorse it? :D
God speed! ♥
