I've had a lot of experiences as a mom.
I've been blessed with a baby after many years of longing and waiting.
I've gone through some very difficult pregnancies.
And have given birth to quadruplets.
And have given birth to quadruplets.
I've had to say good-bye to a newborn baby,
followed by another infertile season of waiting for more babies.
Then, blessed with a second son!
And then, a third son . . . with both of us miraculously surviving his emergency birth.
A couple years later, we were blessed with a son birthed in our hearts through adoption.
And gained a son through marriage of our firstborn daughter.
This is when I experienced what it feels like to "give away" our "baby girl" for the first time.
Then, came three more precious blessings birthed in our hearts through adoption.
And two more daughters leaving us and cleaving to their husbands,
establishing families of their own.
And the crown of it all is the blessing of our two grandchildren, which is one of the most amazing experiences of them all!

But this . . . . this is my first time ever . . .saying good-bye to a very dear child that is moving geographically far away from us.
He's now a man, and ready to advance for the Kingdom of God,
serving God and establishing his new family in Colorado.
He is amazing!
We are soooooo very proud of him! And so thankful for his lovely-in-every-way-bride-to-be.
We are sooooooo happy for him!
But oh so sad for us. We are going to miss Kyle like crazy.
He's leaving a big hole in our home and hearts.
And it feels so hard right now.

Saying good-bye to Lydia.
Last coffee run together at Country Shotz!
Last going-to-watch-brother-Tim-play-baseball.
Last swerve ball game with Tim.
It was nice of Kyle to let Tim win! Ha!
Last little play time with Brielle.
Last photo before Caroline and Kyle pulled away at 6am this morning, bound for Colorado!
We love you dearly, Kyle, and will miss you tremendously!!!!
Always remember how very proud we are of you and that we'll always be here cheering you on!

Such a delightful young man that Kyle is. We are going to miss him terribly. But we know he is seeking to do the Lord's work and he will have a very bright future with Leanna as his wife. May God bless you both, Kyle, as you start your new life.
I know your pain. My Robin moved from Peoria to Norman, OK when she was pregnant with Megan. It was so hard to let her (and my very first unborn grandchild) go, but we've managed to remain close over the miles, and it makes the occasional visit so much more precious. May God go with Kyle into his new life and adventure, and bring many blessings on his marriage!
For sure, Meemom!!!! Well said!
Thanks Donna, for your kind encouragement!
