Day One of Holding Down the Fort and Wrangling the Natives . . .

. . . while the fishermen enjoyed their first day of Florida sunshine.
This was Ted's report at the end of the day . . . "Tim caught the most fish and Joe and I caught some too. So far none for Taylor so please pray he would get some soon.
We're all pretty tired from the flight so getting in bed now."

Meanwhile, back at the ranch . . . .
the head wrangler woke at 3:30am . . .not a great start for the energy it takes to run the ranch alone. ;-)

Grandma was super blessed to be able to enjoy two of the adorable grands today so Valerie could focus on some things, including a run up to Costco.  She dropped them off just before their morning nap and picked them up around 6pm this evening.  Loved every minute with these two bundles of joy!
(Valerie always enjoys seeing pictures throughout the day so snapped these for her.)

Just trying to keep clean no doubt!  LOL!

Valerie had Naomi in a shirt that said, "I Need Some Grandma Time!"  Love it!

Caroline's original plan was to be with Joseph all day today, visiting him and his family in Portland.  But one of her little corgi's that was due in 4 days, decided today was the day to deliver her pups!  So Caroline ended up being home with us . . .but of course, was out with Dottie all day.   We had an answer to prayer at the end of the day with a puppy that seemed to not be coming down and appeared to be "stuck" no matter how much Dottie was contracting.  It was looking like she might need a c-section tomorrow.  But she was finally able to push the puppy out, so no surgery needed!  Praise the Lord!

It was freezing cold, but the sun shone all day.  I kept the fire burning all day to help our heat pump out. ;-)  It's going to be another cold night too!  I'm so glad it isn't stormy/windy.  We should be just fine!

Now for some more addressing of wedding invitations!  Did a little stack this afternoon, and hope to finish them all up this evening!

So, the first day without the guys is in the books.  All went well.  No injuries or catastrophes of any kind!  So think we're off to a good start!
