Last Day on the Road!!! Woo hoo!

Our 12th day in the motor home we woke up at a really nice campground in Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
We parked on this end spot that had a really nice big grassy area for the kids to run and play!

We were able to plug in again, and I was able to fix a nice, warm apple-pancake and sizzling bacon breakfast.  Then, I straightened up the motor home for our last day on the road!
After leaving the campground, we drove to the downtown CDA area so the kids could play at this park and swim in the CDA lake!

 Charlotte especially loved these geraniums!

Timothy especially enjoyed watching this float plane take off!

We then left that area and drove to Liberty Lake so Joe could enjoy some more fishing.

Mama deer . . . . I still have a hard time thinking you are cute even when you are friendly and at a playground and walk right up to me with those big brown eyes and have a cute baby.
I'm still quite mad at your WA relatives that have hundreds of acres of wild food to eat,
but instead have chosen to eat my planted and greatly nurtured flowers and fruit trees and berry bushes and plants in our vegetable garden.  (Oh did I mention that they BROKE IN to the garden this year, somehow raiding our plants that were behind the tall fence we just put up and the bird netting that was covering all the plants? 😠)
So at around 7pm last night as we were trying to pick a campsite for the night, we made a final hour decision to keep driving into the night and make it all the way home.  So we pulled out of the Spokane area a little after 7pm and made it home right around 1am this morning!  Woo hoo!
It felt so good to be in our own beds for a good night's sleep!
And today, we've begun the unpacking of nearly two weeks worth of stuff in the motor home!

  1. Oh no. Cannot believe they got into your garden. Did you figure out how they did that?
