Like cold water to a weary soul,
So is good news from a distant land.
So is good news from a distant land.
Proverbs 25:25
Our family is rejoicing over some good news we have received recently!
The biggest news is in the form of a brief email from the foreign ;-) land of Seattle!!
Brielle's caseworker just emailed today and said that he has scheduled an
"adoption staffing" conference call for the 28th!
Not sure exactly what all this means (if she is legally free now or will be soon?)
but atlas, it is very encouraging to hear that the process is indeed progressing!
Thank you for all your prayers!
Then, Valerie heard the most awesome news yesterday . . . .
after nearly 6 years of wearing braces and of late, leaving many appointments in tears ;-( . . .
after nearly 6 years of wearing braces and of late, leaving many appointments in tears ;-( . . .
her orthodontist said those long-awaited words . . ."We will de-band on your next appointment!"
Woo hoo!!! What a day of celebration that will be!!!
And then lastly,
some good news from my colonoscopy today!
The surgeon found 3 small polyps that he removed!
So we're thankful they were caught early, and Lord willing, should not be a problem!
"But as for me, I will always have hope;
I will praise you more and more.
My mouth will tell of your righteousness,
of your salvation all day long,
though I know not its measure.
I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign Lord;
I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone."
Psalm 71:14-16
Wonderful news, on all three accounts! Praying for everything to lead smoothly and quickly to Brielle's adoption. Can't wait to see Valerie's "slick" new smile! And so glad your colonoscopy is behind you (no pun intended! :) ) and the report was good.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord for all the good news!! Rejoicing with you all! :)

Well that is awsome news on all fronts. The adoption, Valerie's braces, and that the colonscopy is over and hopefully a closed chapter for a while. Look forward to hearing more news on the adoption. Love, Meemom
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mom!!! Yes, we're definitely looking forward to giving more adoption updates! Can't wait! And you know we'll be anxious to share pictures of Valerie's new look without braces just as soon as they are removed! She is sooooooo excited!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement to get the colonoscopy done! I'm glad I did it, and that they can take care of things before they turn into problems!
Love you!
