Day Three - Part Two!

Today was another long day of driving!  We started in Chamberlain, South Dakota, and just ended our day in Rockford, IL.  So, unfortunately, we don't have any exciting photos of the day!  Even if there was anything to exciting to see, we probably would have opted to stay inside our vehicles, as it was a super cold and windy day . . . all day!
This is kind of how we felt today with all the wind!

We did find some signs amusing . . .
Butterburgers?

Wow, an Onalaska in Wisconsin, too!
(Our home church is located in Onalaska, WA!)

We missed the Illinois state sign, as we think the rest area where it might have been located was blocked off due to construction.  So this was the first "Illinois" sign we saw after crossing the border!
: -)

We will be heading to Michigan early in the morning to visit with our relatives!  We'll be there until Tuesday morning!
Woo hoo!

  1. After 3 days on the road, I guess you are all getting a little star crazy.
At least you are getting close to the Michigan family and a chance to really relax some. you know if you came through
Arizona, you could avoid cold and windy. Just a thought.. Thanks for keeping us updated. Love, Meemom

  2. That picture of Benjamin is so cute! I love it! I bet that Wisconsin Onalaska is a lot different than WA Onalaska in a lot of ways LOL

    Love you all!

  3. I love Culver's (though I don't have one very often because of the high fat/calorie content). I think they might be called Butterburgers because they are grilled in butter. If that's wrong, I don't want to know, because they taste really good if you imagine that. They are delicious, and the frozen custard is awesome, too!

    Enjoy your trip!!
