Day Four, Five and Six!

We have just left our cousins' home in Lapeer, Michigan, and boy, did we have a fun-filled two days!!  They were so gracious and hospitable to accommodate and feed us so well.  And we always have such a wonderful time visiting and playing together!  We had lots of catching up to do, as it has been 10 years since we were in Michigan!

On Sunday, most all of the the relatives were able to come out for an afternoon/evening get-together.  It was so awesome to see everyone!!  (Ted's dad has four siblings, and including Papa and Grammie, they had a total of 12 kids.  And these 12 kids have had 33 kids! :-)

It was pretty cold on Sunday, so we stayed inside to eat and visit until close to 10pm.  On Monday, it was still a bit chilly, but sunny and beautiful!  So the kids played outside ALL day!  It was really awesome for them to get lots of exercise!

Brielle, myself and the aunts stayed inside most of the time.  Brielle got passed around and loved on by all.  It was soooooo sweet!  And she loved every minute of it!   (I have many photos, but sadly, can't post those here.  We also took a group picture, which turned out really great!)

As always, I wish I took more photos!  But, these are a few that I was able to snap!

We had some awesome times of sitting around their fire ring!

Uncle Gary was totally awesome in bringing many yard games!
And he played with the kids most of the day!

Ron and Rochelle have a very awesome basement,
with some very cool things to do down there!

Jake and Zach Fritz, and Kyle.  So fun to see these boys all grown-up into awesome young men!!!

Uncle Gary was really awesome to play with the boys all day long!

A few baseball games were played.
Here, the teams are being chosen!
Very serious business!

Down to the last . . . four girls!
 Uncle Jerry playing catcher,
while "Drive", Ron and Rochelle's dog tries to get the ball.
Cousin Jeff up-to-bat while cousin Ron pitches.

Uncle Gary and others in the outfield.
Are you okay, Uncle Gary?  : -)

We had the joy of being able to see Uncle Jerry and Aunt Marilyn's new home!
It is a condo only 10 minutes from Ron and Rochelle's place!  (Also in the picture, Uncle Bill and Aunt Kathy!)

We enjoyed lots and lots of good food!

We had the very special privilege of meeting Rochelle's sister, Roslyn; her husband, Bob; daughter, Riley; and exchange-student-from-Germany, Johanna.
The Lord blessed them with a move from Florida and home in Michigan a year ago,
which is just across the street from Ron and Rochelle.
It was fun meeting them and talking with Johanna.
Her family lives on 300+ acres in Germany,
and raises turkeys.  They also have dairy cows, and produce energy to use and sell,
from the turkey  . . . ahem, droppings. : -)
I think that would be pretty cool to know how to turn poo into energy!  : -)
This photo is of Johanna's first-time-ever up-to-bat.
She said she knew nothing about the sport of baseball,
as it is not much-of-a-sport in Germany, (if at all)!

After the big baseball game,
they played frisbee football with everyone!
It was a quite a hoot with sooooo many people!
(Missed getting photos of it.)

So now, we're "on the road again!"

  2. Wow, what a fun couple of days! Glad that everyone got a chance to stretch their legs and let out some energy :-) That's really neat that you got to visit all of the family and even the exchange student. I love the sound of her farm, 300 acres is a LOT of land!

Love you all so very much!
