Day Fifteen! Washington, D.C.

Well, plans changed a bit for us this morning. We were planning to have a day of rest at the wonderful campground that we are staying at.  It is truly awesome!  However, as we were leisurely perusing a website of the top ten things to do to celebrate Memorial Day in Washington D.C., we discovered that the annual "Rolling Thunder Motercycle Rally" is happening in the area this weekend. "This “ride for freedom” draws upwards of 900,000 motorcycle riders from all over the country who journey to honor POWs and MIAs and is due to start sometime Friday-Saturday and through the weekend."

In addition to this, we discovered that the campground where we are staying at is full on Friday night, so this will likely cut our time here by a day or so.

So, we did our laundry in a hurry this morning, and off we go to see what we can see . . . .in spite of the thunderstorm that is forecasted!  : -)
