Thanksgiving 2014

We had a wonderful day!
Some of the the menfolk carve, supervise and "taste test" the turkey!
  Sisters hanging-out waiting for that moment when we hear "It's time to pray and eat!"
 We were grateful that Kelley and Louis made the drive from Auburn to be with us!

Just before the feast,
there was a little time for a couple rounds of
 four-person chess!
  Daddy and Victoria ended up battling it out on this one!
We were also really blessed to have Richie, Lydia, Rich, and Janet join us for dessert
and a showing of "It's a Wonderful Life!"
 Coming soon, Richie, Lydia and our family are going to see . . . .
This is a play, based on the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", where four of Taproot Theatre's improvisers "make it unique by soliciting key story elements from audience members,"
 then, act out these new and improved "improvised" scenes from the movie!  It is hilarious!
 But between now and then, we'll be decking our halls for Christmas,
and getting some wonderful R and R!

What did you do for Thanksgiving?

Thank You, Lord!

"Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him,
sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!"
Psalm 105:1-3

Thank you, Lord,
for all you are, and all you have done for us!
Thank you, for the boundless blessings you've given us;
and for all the gifts and good things in our lives!
Thank you, for the trials that have strengthened our faith,
and shown us the greater depths of your faithfulness, grace and mercy!
Thank you, for the hope we have in knowing you are completely sovereign,
and always working all things together for good
and according to your perfect plans for our good and your glory!
Thank you, for the love of friends, family, our brothers and sisters in Christ,
and for our dear Pastor Dean and Linda, who care so well for us.
THANK YOU, for this abundant, joyful life you have given us!

"Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
Sing praises to our God on the lyre,
Who covers the heavens with clouds,
Who provides rain for the earth,
Who makes grass to grow on the mountains."
~ Psalm 147:7-8 ~

Wishing you a blessed day of Giving Thanks from
our neck-of-the-woods in wonderfully wet Washington!
With love and gratefulness for you,
The Bowes Family

"That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving,
and tell of all Thy wondrous works."  Psalm 26:7

Thankful for Good Friends!

We were so blessed to have some new friends from Oregon
come and visit us this past weekend.
Soon after their arrival, we decided to introduce them to one of our family's favorite games . . .
Reverse Charades! : -)  They were all very good sports!
It always gets us laughing!
(So sorry for the lack of pictures of "team 2" . . .the team the photographer was on!)
Hmmmmm . . . does this look anything like "Riverdancing" to you???
 Hmm . . . they're looking "funny" and they're pointing to a certain "bone" in their body! : -)
 Slow motion?
 We're thinking Daddy probably makes a better accountant than an opera singer!
 Bowling anyone?
 Uh . . . .it IS hunting season!
Did she hit the "bullseye?"
 Just when you thought you were way too old to play
"Ring-Around-the-Rosie"

 Of course!  Birds at a bird bath!
I think they are eating ice-cream cones in this one!
Speaking of ice-cream . . . . Awwwwww.....
At about 10pm Saturday night, the glow sticks came out!
Group picture . . . .
Thank you W. Family for such a fun time!
We really enjoyed getting to know you all better!
Your family is a blessing to us and soooo many others!
We look forward to staying in touch,
and keeping updated on all the good things the Lord is doing in and through you all back in Arizona!

We sure enjoyed sharing you all with our church family!!!
