Benjamin Turns 2!

It is hard to believe . . . but it's true!
Benjamin just turned two!

The party atmosphere began early in the day,
with Thomas the train decorations!

The birthday boy was fairly fascinated with the flames!

Since he is soooo special : -) and it is his SECOND birthday . . .
he had TWO cakes!

Meemom and Papa Bob got him this nifty sports car.  : -)
He loved it even without it being assembled!
(When Mommy went to assemble it,
we were missing a necessary part to put the front wheels on!)
But, it's on order, so he'll be crusin' in no time!
Here, he is acting out what can happen when a sports car is not fully assembled.   Silly boy!

2012 Air Expo - Joint Base Lewis-McChord Field

Timmy and Joe (and their Daddy) were very excited about going to the air show this past Saturday.
Joe won the award for the most prepared!
Ah . . .  little boys and puddles . . .
magnets!
The next few pictures are of the Patriots Jet Team

The explosion was just a special effect
for a creative photo opportunity.
This was the first of many,
and I think it caught most of us by surprise!
I think most of us were thinking that something terrible had happened!

This B-2 Spirit from Whitman AFB, MO was on a 9 hour training mission and was kind enough to drive by for us!

The Thunderbirds were awesome, as always!

This "mirror" manuever especially fascinates me!

This was a Vietnam demonstration.
It was really neat!

This B-1B Lancer was especially loud!

The good 'ole B-52!

This is a Navy T-28 and it is the one in the next two pictures.

P-51 Mustang

Joe created this heart-in-a-styrofoam-water-cup
at the end of the day.
I think it was his way of giving the air show a "thumbs-up."
Or maybe, "I love you Mommy and Daddy.  Thank you for taking me to the air show!"

Too Big for a "Nap"!

Of course, when you are five, you are way too big for a nap . . .right?
But sometimes when you're fighting the dinosaurs off with your nerf sword, you just need to take a little rest!

And then grab a blankie, for some sweeter dreams!
